The New Year is upon us, and the tradition of resolutions is here! We’ve come up with three resolutions we think any breastfeeding mom can appreciate:
“I see my body as an instrument, rather than an ornament.” —Alanis Morissette, to Reader’s Digest. We resolve to normalize breastfeeding in all of it’s glory – and that means if you need to nurse in public and are comfortable doing so, go for it! If you’d rather sit in a private space or cover up, do so. It’s about what works for YOU and YOUR baby. “I feel like a milk maid, but it is worth it.” —Miranda Kerr, on juggling work and motherhood, to Australia’s Herald Sun We resolve to be gentle with ourselves, and remember that what we’re doing takes a lot of effort. “Don’t cry over spilled milk. Unless it’s breastmilk, in which case, cry a lot.” —Unknown We resolve to laugh when we want to cry, and know that in the end, it will all be ok! Comments are closed.
